PICTURE FRIDAY: SCRATCHING POST!

  
Believe it or not, dogs need a scratching post too.  My humans refuse to buy me a scratching post because I am not a cat -- that is discrimination! -- so I must make due with nature, which is really not bad because I get the "full" treatment.  

I just stick my whole face into the bushes by our house, and swing it back and forth getting a good scratch with all those little branches and leaves.  Oh, it feels real good.  Love it.  Happy Friday! --- Biggs

POOR SICK BABY

  
We had a scare this weekend with Biggs.  He didn't eat for four days and Friday night he started throwing up and throwing up.  Of course, by the time this started the Vet's office is closed so off we go to Emergency.  

They had to give him an IV and a couple of other shots.  And, luckily, they worked!

Biggs is now eating slowly, but he's eating -- white rice and chicken.

Hopefully, he is on his way to a full recovery, and we can sleep without any more worries.

He has his own blanket, but nooo, he has to take mine.

  

He doesn't care.  He's comfy.  The big baby!

 

WHOSE POOP IS HARDEST TO PICKUP AFTER?!

Chihuahuas, according to an article in the Huffington Post, because their poop is so tiny.

And at the opposite end of the spectrum, the poop from big dogs, like Mastiffs and Great Danes, is also hard to pickup for being ...well, so big.

Biggs' poop is a handful, but luckily, it all fits perfectly inside one plastic grocery bag.   But, I always carry two plastic bags with me for those rare two-poop days.

Apparently, doggy poop is big business.

There is 10 million tons of dog feces dump each year.   And DoodyCalls, a company out of Charlottesville, VA, made $4.5 million last year on dog poop.  The company has 55 franchises in 22 states.  Guess one could say they are the Poop Kings!
