CHIMERA BULL AND PUSS

  

Seems that one can have two animals in one.  It's a mutation called a Chimera.

Bull, from Texas, is considered a Chimera Lab -- half yellow lab, half black lab.  Owners are awaiting the "official" word from health officials.  Meanwhile, Bull is showing off his colors.

Venus, on the other hand, is an official (and tested) Chimera Cat.  She too has great coloring.

PICTURE FRIDAY: MAMI RESCUES PUPPIES

We read this story in the Daily News about a burning fire in Chile, and a mother's mad rush to save her babies. 

The photos tell the whole story: A desperate Amanda (the mama dog) rushed into a burning building again and again to save her babies.  She saved all but one.  The little family took shelter in the nearest fire truck.  Amanda and babies are doing well; Her human too.  We pray for everyone's speedy recovery.

PICTURE FRIDAY: MUST LOVE DOGS!

  

One would expect doggy garbage cans at dog runs, but they are nothing special – just regular garbage cans.  In my neighborhood, there are garbage cans by the playgrounds and by the school house.  They are not specific to dog waste, but when you are walking your dog in the early morning or late evenings, it’s good to know where these cans are.  On my recent trip to Amsterdam, I found this gem in a neighborhood outside the city.  Isn’t it adorable?  You can tell that that city loves its Dogs.

EXPENSIVE DOG!

Biggs is on a very strict diet, but he has been known to eat paper and napkins if one is not attentive.  Well, now he is into more expensive paper -- dollar bills! 

Biggs ate $42 dollars worth. 

I'm hoping the Federal Reserve will give me back the money.  If not,

Biggs is going to have to start looking for a part-time job to pay me back.

PICTURE FRIDAY: SCRATCHING POST!

  
Believe it or not, dogs need a scratching post too.  My humans refuse to buy me a scratching post because I am not a cat -- that is discrimination! -- so I must make due with nature, which is really not bad because I get the "full" treatment.  

I just stick my whole face into the bushes by our house, and swing it back and forth getting a good scratch with all those little branches and leaves.  Oh, it feels real good.  Love it.  Happy Friday! --- Biggs

POOR SICK BABY

  
We had a scare this weekend with Biggs.  He didn't eat for four days and Friday night he started throwing up and throwing up.  Of course, by the time this started the Vet's office is closed so off we go to Emergency.  

They had to give him an IV and a couple of other shots.  And, luckily, they worked!

Biggs is now eating slowly, but he's eating -- white rice and chicken.

Hopefully, he is on his way to a full recovery, and we can sleep without any more worries.
