Here are some pictures of the Big Baby at play with his Halloween Toys.  He went through them in minutes.  We should have gotten him a Big Bad Wolf costume to go with his teeth.  But check out those "demon eyes" in the photos.  Guess they are more than enough.  Have a Happy, and don't eat too much candy.

WALKING IN THE RAIN

I love walking in the rain. 

Well, I should qualify that, I love walking in a gentle drizzle.  When the drops are so soft and gentle that they are more a caress than wet.  With one shake, I am dry.



I love walking in the damp earth.

It's not too wet or too dry, and cool against my paws.  Plus, the damp earth sooths my butt when I gotta do my business.  You get the idea.

And, walking in the rain with the one I love, is always a pleasure.

PIT BULL NOSE COLORS

  
Biggs has a black nose, which is pretty standard for pit bulls.

However, there are blue-nose and red-nose pit bulls.  These are also "traditional" colors.  Blue- and red-nose pit bulls are normal.  They are not rare.  New buyers should be wary of breeders who are only breeding for colored-noses.   You are buying the dog, not the nose color.

Here are the three types of noses.  They are all perfect.

PICTURE FRIDAY: AUTOGRAPH, ANYONE?!

My niece Joliz loves to wear glasses even with her perfect vision; unlike her dear auntie.

She figured Biggs could rock the look as well, and got creative.  Joliz took a pair of the 3-D glasses we g0t at the movie theatre and took out the black film.  Now Biggs too looks like a movie star.

WHAT IS IT WITH DOGS AND SHOES?!

I don't know what changed, but now Biggs has turned into a sandal-eating monster. 

He's chewed two pairs of mine and the new sandals I bought my niece.  

Maybe the were too much of a temptation for him, or maybe he grew tired of his "old" toys.

Now I hide my sandals and push him to play with his Bong.  It's still alive, believe it or not!

BIGGS AND BONG

We are very excited -- Biggs has a new toy and he hasn't chewed it up yet.  It's a Bong and very hard, but good for his teeth.  We hope so.  And, we love the fact that has lasted longer than 12 minutes.  Woo hoo.

PICTURE FRIDAY: SAY AHHH!

Anyone been to the dentist lately?  Biggs doesn't need it.  Look how white his teeth are.  It's all the wholesome food he gets....and of course, chewing on my hand.   He chews hard.  No wonder he goes through toys in minutes.  Happy Friday.

Biggs is so cute, even at rest.  He prefers to sleep on his side.

But sometimes, he sleeps spread eagle.

Biggs can destroy any toy in under 10 minutes; 30 minutes if he likes it.  And if he really likes it, it could last a couple of days.

DO DOGS HAVE ADAM'S APPLES?

 
I was hugging and petting Biggs and I felt a lump in his throat, and I thought to myself, do dogs have Adam's Apples?

And the answer is...Yes, male dogs have Adam's Apples.

PICTURE FRIDAY: SQUIRREL TERROR

This hateful squirrel has been terrorizing Biggs.  It started last weekend when we first saw this squirrel run across the porch screen.  (Thank God, for the screen!)  Biggs went crazy.  I didn't realize what it was until I saw it with my own eyes. 

Mr. Squirrel has come back five times.  Biggs goes crazy each time.  The last two I threw water at Mr. Squirrel and he almost fell off the porch -- three floors down -- but he caught himself in time and scampered off.

I hate squirrels. Hopefully, Mr. Squirrel learned his lesson.  If not, I'm going to have to let Biggs have him for lunch.  I know, yuk!  But maybe one little bite will scare him off.   Fingers crossed.

NEW ROUTE

Biggs and I have a new route which gives us a 25-minute workout.  We hit it every morning.  We never ran into other people but now that the weather is getting warmer, we are getting a runner here and there.  But mostly we still have the whole place to ourselves.  We love it.  And we love the name -- Real Good Park.

I got Biggs a nice, bright, colorful supersized tennis ball.  Nothing small or regular size for Biggs as I fear he might swallow it.

HOME SWEET HOME

There is nothing like coming home and being welcomed by loud greetings of love.  Okay, loud barks of love.  I missed Biggs and Luna and Oreo while I was gone.  MadLove took good care of them, but still....

Now, I'm home and we can get back to our routine; Back to being ourselves.  Glad to be home, babies!

He spent all night at it until he finally stripped it.

GOOD STRETCH

 
Biggs is not that much different from me.  We both eat, sleep and stretch.

I get up in the morning and lift my arms above my head and arch my back into a good stretch.  Well, Biggs does the same.  He doesn't throw his arms above his head but he slides them in front of him until his belly button is touching the floor and his haunches are up.  Then he throws his body forward until his hind legs are stretched behind him.  I've been known to do that too in yoga class.

Guess, the apple does not fall far from the tree.

WEDNESDAY: Famous Pit Bull Owner Day

Do you know these Famous Pit Bull Owners?  Hint:  they were all Presidents.

Hint:  He rode with the Rough Riders.

Hint:  he was from New Jersey.

Hint:  this peanut farmer won the Nobel Peace Prize after leaving office.

RIGHT OF WAY

The one with the biggest dog wins...or at least, gets a clear path.

But what happens when two big dogs want the same path?  It's a matter of courtesy.  Whomever gets there first gets the right of way.

Today I was walking Biggs by the school, as we do every morning.  Half way down, I noticed a man about to cross the street toward us.  He must have been dreaming-- or he didn't care-- because he made straight for us.  (Bold, wasn't he?)

Biggs had done his business so I crossed the street.  Didn't want to get into any tug of war with Biggs.  (He still has trouble with strangers.)

Half way up the block, on the other side of the street, I noticed a man and his big dog about to cross to the school side.  Luckily, Biggs and I had already done that walk so the big dog had a clear path, because the last thing I need in the break of dawn (5:25am) is a bark fest.

Biggs is smiling because today is Friday, and he is looking forward to the slumber party with Pinky J, Jo Jo Bean and Pu-Push.  (Me too!)   Plus, it's Mother's Day weekend and he has a special surprise for Mami MadLove and the Sexy Bird Keeper.  Best wishes to Moms everywhere.  Bark! Bark!
